Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Ohio State University and Masters of Architecture from SCI-arc, Southern California Institute of Architecture.
A progressive and dexterous senior designer interested in exploring the nexus between architecture, design, and technology. Matt’s experience ranges from small intimate project types (product & furniture design) to large complex types (sports, aviation, transit, masterplanning). His recent focus has been concept, planning, documentation, and construction of collegiate, minor, and major league football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer training venues.
He’s an advocate for formal exploration, material research (and circular economy), mixed reality tech, and encoding material behaviors through robotic digital fabrication methods. He’s also interested in non-standardized fabrication processes and how those can evolve the industry.
He worked for HOK, HNTB, Xefirotarch, IM Studio, DRDS, and Machineous in Los Angeles; and at Karlsberger in Columbus, Ohio in healthcare design.
